GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at 610 N. Travis following the funeral service. Agnes Leona Stark, age 92, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013, at her residence in Comanche, Texas. She was born on February 21, 1921, in Matador, Texas, to Johnny and Lorena (West) Smith. On July 27, 1938, she was united in marriage to J. W. “Jack” Stark, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2000. Agnes was a professional Seamstress, and in August 1984, with her daughter, Becky, formed “Becky’s Drapes” in Comanche. She was a member of Pearl Street Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Eisele and husband Keith of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Becky Lancaster and husband Kenneth of Comanche; two special daughters, Beth Martin of Comanche and Janda Steward of Basalt, Colorado; nine grandchildren: Tim and Doris Stark, Dedra and Steve Simpson, Heath and Cheryl Mitchell, Dana Middleton, and Brandy and Misty Andrew; fifteen great-grandchildren: Kate and Camille Stark; Justin, Tamara, Cristina and Becca Simpson; Colton, Caegan, Cylar and M’Caidyn Mitchell; David and Austin Upchurch; Maegan Caffey; and Payton and Kasey Middleton; two great-great-granddaughters, Andie and Cambree; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Stark, one sister and three brothers.
