Almon Parent

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Abiding Life Fellowship Church, 800 Summitt, Comanche. Almon “Al” Louis Parent, Sr., age 79, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. He was born on June 19, 1931, in Maine. His parents were French Canadians. Al’s great-grandfather came from France. He was united in marriage to Betty Whitcotton and she preceded him in death in 2000. On December 8, 2002 he married Edna Louise Arnett Stalls in Toyohvale, Texas. Al spent his professional life working as an electrician in Pennsylvania for 35 years. He was and outstanding husband and was a member of Abiding Life Fellowship Church in Comanche, Texas. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Al is survived by his wife, Edna Louise Parent of Comanche; daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Denny Britton, Ft. Davis, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Jamie Prott, Ft. Davis, TX; daughter, Barbara Harper, Bakersville, CA; daughter, Brenda Amasira, Apex, N.C.; son, Almon Louis Parent, Jr., Myrtle Beach, S.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Donny Howard and Diane Deville, Lake Panassokee, FL; Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; brother, Herbert Parent, MN; sister, Rosie Landry, Fayetteville, N.C.; and sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Terry Blinn, Fayetteville, N.C.
