Amando Salinas

Amando Salinas, age 77, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Amando, the son of (late) Timoteo Salinas and (late) Alejandra Salinas, was born in Alice, Texas on August 4, 1945. He was united in marriage to (late) Josephine Sanchez on July 14, 1969. Amando worked hard his entire life. He was a Yard Foreman for Higginbotham’s, self-employed building fences and selling trees, worked for a company building bridges, and was a Ranch Foreman. He never liked to be idle. He was so in love with his wife, proud of his kids, and doted on his grandkids. His grandkids could do no wrong. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He is survived by his sons, Andrew Salinas, Adrian Salinas, Francisco Salinas and wife, Dana; daughter, Esmeralda Cumba and husband, Steven, all of Comanche; grandchildren, Josh Parton, Colt Salinas, Dalton Salinas, Hagen Salinas, Jaycee Salinas, Reagan Salinas, Mia Cumba, Jordyn Cumba, Garrett Cumba, Devin Salinas, Pitch Thiebaud; great-granddaughter, Hazley Cumba; brothers, Tim Salinas and wife, Brenda, Paul Salinas, Peter Salinas; sisters, Carmen Moreno and husband, Jose, Corina Stovall and husband, Randy, Gloria Salinas and husband, Tim, Susan Moya and husband, Ricky, and Teresa Salinas. He is also survived by his children from his first marriage: sons, Amando M. Salinas and Ricky Salinas; daughters, Mary Ann Salinas, Mary Ester Plaza, and Debra Ann Ramirez; along with 25 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Sanchez Salinas; son, Robert Salinas; sisters, Lucy Cerda and Lupe Zarate; and brother, Domingo Salinas.
