Archie Lambert, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2020 in Abilene, Texas. He was born June 16, 1941 in Brownwood, Texas to James Henry and Ruby Lois (Lewis) Lambert. On June 17, 1961 was united in marriage to Shirley Sue Hibbs in Brownwood, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2015.

Archie was a man with many interests. He enjoyed fishing, loved his goats, chickens and quails. He enjoyed singing, loved gardening and decorating for Christmas. He thoroughly enjoyed attending sporting events for the grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father/father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa McGettes and husband Eddie of Comanche, Tx; son, Jeff Lambert and wife Lisa of Comanche, Tx; four grandchildren, Lacey Patterson, Doug McGettes, Chris Lambert, and Alexandra Dahl; seven great-grandchildren, Christopher Patterson, Braxton Patterson, McKayla Lambert, Izaiah Moya, Kensley McGettes, Kennedy McGettes, and Alexander McGettes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby Lambert; brother, James Lambert; six brother-in-laws; sister, Marie Dudley; and 6 sister-in-laws; and step-father, Charlie Kincheloe.

Due to current COVID-19 Regulations we ask that friends planning to attend the Graveside Service stand at least 30 feet from the casket, reserving the space close to the casket for immediate family. Current regulations also require that, when gathering in groups, each group consist of no more than 10 people who should maintain social distancing of six feet apart. Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time.
