Aubrey Hurst

Jarrel Aubry Hurst, Sr., age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012, in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on April 8, 1936, in Carbon, Texas, to W. V. and Vinnie (Lovell) Hurst. Jarrel was a wonderful father. He lived his life as his own man and on his own terms and his many friends referred to him as a truly honest man. He had a passion for his job as a pipeline welder, which took him to many and varied parts of the world, and he was not afraid to admit that he also had a passion for rooster fighting. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Lori Hurst of Joshua; daughter Kay Wheeler of St. Matthews, SC; nine grandchildren; brother, Harold Hurst of Proctor; and sister, Evangeline Owens of Hurst. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Lynn Hurst on June 5, 1994, and Jarrel Aubry Hurst, Jr., on August 6, 2012.
