BURIAL:  Oakwood Cemetery VISITATION:  Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M on Thursday, January 17, 2019 LUNCH:  The DeAnda Home located at 203 N Ervin, Comanche, Texas MEMORIALS:  If desired family requests memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105   Barbara Audene Hughes, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, in Comanche, Texas.   She was born on February 17, 1928, in Comanche County, to Walter and Pearl (Elliott) Shupp.  On October 6, 1942, she was united in marriage to Albert Burton Hughes in Comanche.  He preceded her in death on January 23, 1998.  Barbara’s life centered around her husband and family and she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. She was a good seamstress. Barbara lived a perfect life. She never spoke an unkind word or there was never any unkind word spoken about her.   She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Stone and husband Tom of Brownwood, and Geraldine DeAnda and husband Joe of Comanche; six grandchildren: Melinda Sample and husband Jim of Flower Mound, Kevin Burch and wife Shannan of Comanche, Brad Scott of Comanche, Melissa Garcia and husband Johnny of Cisco, Shelly Trowbridge of Brownwood, and John Paul Hughes of Port Aransas; seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Allan
