Bernell Jackson

Bernell Jackson, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, in Comanche, Texas.

He was born on August 23, 1934, in Gustine, Texas, to Travis William and Lexia May (Priddy) Jackson. On June 27, 1958, he was united in marriage to Myrtle Faye Lewis in Gustine. Bernell was a wonderful husband and worked hard as a farmer and rancher for most of his life. He was a faithful member of the Pearl Street Church of Christ. He was a humble man, never putting himself first, and worked hard for God and church. He spent much of his later years helping others.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Myrt Jackson, of Comanche; brother, A.D. Jackson of Carriere, Mississippi; sister, Lois Jo Martin of Denver, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Lynn Jackson; brothers, D.K. Jackson and F.L. Jackson; and sisters, Maggie May Lord and Mildred Blackwood.
