Bertha Velasquez

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A private memorial service was held on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Bertha Velasquez, age 79, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on April 23, 1935, in Robstown, Texas, to Guadalupe and Sara (Zepeda) Ybarra. Bertha was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Jesus C. Velasquez of Comanche; daughter, Virginia of Jasper; daughter, Teresa Gage of Brownwood; son, Martin Velasquez of Comanche; son, Jeff Velasquez of Comanche; daughter, Onesima Rodriquez of Sinton; daughter, Veronica of Abilene; daughter, Anna Parmele of Huntington; son, Victor Velasquez of Bowie; and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Sara Ybarra; son, Joe Angel Gonzalez; and two brothers, Magdaleno Ybarra and Perfecto Ybarra.
