LUNCH: 12:00 Noon on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Gustine. Betty Louise Adams, age 79, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2011, in Wichita Falls. She was born on August 1, 1932, in Honey Grove, Texas, to Junot and Ruth (Baldridge) McKee. She graduated from Honey Grove High School and on September 15, 1954 she was united in marriage to Elbert Lyn Adams in Gustine. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2005. Education was very important to Betty and after graduating from high school she enrolled in college and earned a Bachelor Degree and two Masters Degrees. She taught school for 42 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Betty was a Baptist and was dedicated to her church. She played the piano for services and taught Sunday School for over fifty years. She was also a member of the Gideons Auxiliary. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and was beloved by her many friends. The circle of life for Betty was complete when her new great-granddaughter, Emma, was born just hours after she died. She is survived by two daughters, Amy Adams of Brownwood and Nancy Townley and husband Bill of Seymour; four grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Travis Adams, Natalie Stary, and Brandon Townley; two great-grandchildren, Major Townley and Emma Stary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
