FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch will be at the family home, 203 Hall Street, Comanche. MEMORIALS: If desired, family requests memorials be made to the local girl scouts, Girl Scout Troop #4288, c/o Pam Bills, 101 Bunker Hill Drive, Comanche, Texas 76442; or American Cancer Society, c/o Betty Rackley, 500 Highway 590, Comanche, Texas 76442. Betty Jansen, age 66, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at her home in Comanche, Texas. She was born on October 23, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, to Pete and Ann (Mikesh) Truly. On February 14, 1987, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Eugene Jansen in San Antonio, Texas. Betty was a Catholic. For many years she was a bookkeeper and she was very involved in Girl Scouts of America. She is survived by son, Stephen Kennedy of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Jessica Jansen of Jacksonville, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Ryan Jansen of Lompoc, California; daughter, Barbara Jansen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandson, Tyler Michael Meeks of Jacksonville, Florida; sister-in-law, Judy Truly of Weatherford, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Ann Truly; and two brothers, Louis Ray Truly and Bob Allen Truly.
