Billie Barfield

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Billie (McKinzie) Barfield, 86 of Comanche, Texas, died on Friday, August 19, 2011, at Arlington Medical Center. She was born on August 10, 1925, in Comanche, Texas, to the late Alfred and Mattie (Rushing) McKinzie. She graduated from Comanche High School where she served as a majorette. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pearl Street Church of Christ. She is survived by her sons, Garry Autrey and wife Margaret of Arlington, Texas; Rick Autrey and wife Terri of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren; Victoria Stevens of Colorado; Rebecca Vetness of Norway; Katelyn Boor of Arlington, Texas; Scott Autrey of North Carolina; Derrick Autrey of Arlington, Texas; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mattie (Rushing) McKinzie; one sister, Natalou Basham and one brother Therone McKinzie. Billie was the youngest of three children. Billie was a strong Christian woman that loved her church family. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her friendliness and her exceptional talent as a seamstress and with arts and crafts.
