FUNERAL SERVICES:  10:00 A.M. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL:  Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION:  Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Thursday night from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. LUNCH:  Lunch for the family will be at Sidney Baptist Church following the funeral services.
Billie Ruth Vineyard, age 79, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014, in Comanche County, Texas. She was born on April 8, 1934, in Callahan County, Texas, to Manuel Earl and Emma Lottie (Mayfield) Lackey. On May 1, 1954, she was united in marriage to Billy Joe Vineyard in Dublin, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2013. Billie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. For many years she worked for the County of Comanche as secretary to the County Attorney and was also a published author. She was a member of Sidney Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Lynn Shelton and husband Dennis of Springtown, and Shelley Jo Gibson and husband Keg of Sidney; son, Don Eric Vineyard of Fort Worth; grandchildren: Aimee Hope Coplen and husband Brent, Amanda Joy Levy and husband Brett, and Kenneth Ernest Gibson, III and wife Corrie; step-grandchildren: Amy Dawn Rains and husband John, and Justin Shelton and wife Maranda; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Obregon of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
