Bill Blue, 78, of Newburg, Texas, passed away at his home on August 17, 2016. He was born in Hamilton County on September 11, 1937, the son of the late Robert and Bessie (Peterson) Blue. He graduated from Gustine High School in 1955 From 1957 to 1959 he served in the United States Army and spent time at the Pentagon and, after his discharge from the Army, he graduated from Ft. Smith, Arkansas Auctioneer School in 1959. Bill married Corrine Hallman on August 18, 1956, and they were married for sixty years. He owned many businesses in Comanche County throughout his life, but two of the most prominent were Cen-Tex Auction Services and Sales and Walnut Valley Dairy (Walnut Valley Dairy was well known throughout the State of Texas for its BLU-RIB registered Holsteins), and he was the charter member of the American Belgium Blue Cattle Association. Cen-Tex Auction Services and Sales was established in 1959 and is still running today. Bill was an active member of Comanche’s community throughout his entire life and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Corrine Blue of Comanche; daughter Sandy Luker and husband Gene of Comanche; son Billy Edd Blue and wife Mylinda of Comanche; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, James Blue of Newburg; and three nieces.
