FUNERAL SERVICE: Graveside service 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 1. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Billy Joe Steele was born on May 1, 1941, in Comanche County, Texas to Homer R. Steele and Odell (Reeder) Steele. He was a United States Army veteran. Billy was a machinist formerly employed by Otis Engineering. He was a Baptist. He passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 24 days. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Sharon Steele of Mesquite; son, William R. Steele of Farmers Branch; daughter, Tina Steele of Addison; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, Buddy and Sue Reeder of Brownwood.
