FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Comanche funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Sardis Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at the Housing Authority hospitality room on Cedar Street in Comanche following the funeral services. MEMORIALS: American Cancer Society, 804 West Wright, Comanche, Texas 76442. Billy Dempsey Wells, age 80 passed away Friday July 13, 2012 in Comanche, Texas. He was born on August 3, 1931 in Crawford, Texas to Thomas Jefferson & Selina Jacobs Wells. He worked for 6 years for General Telephone Company in Littlefield, Texas, 2 years for Southwestern Public Service in Littlefield, Texas and did custom farm work in Comanche, Texas in later years. Billy was a Baptist. He was a past member Lamb County Sheriff’s Posse in Littlefield. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Wells of Comanche, Texas; children: Paula & Sparky of Stephenville, Texas, D. J. and Shirley of Comanche, Texas, Alice of Princeton, Texas, Tena and Jim of Granbury, Texas; Grandchildren: Larry and Vanessa of Granbury, Texas, Lisa and Travis of Canyon, Texas, Michael of Holland, MI, Allen and Dana of Comanche, Marilyn and “Carter” of Alba, Texas, Heather and Gerald of Quinlan, Texas, Beverlee of Brownwood, Ashlie and Daylon of Comanche, K. C. and Danielle of Granbury, Texas and Michael of Stephenville, Texas, Brady and Monica of Hamilton, Texas, Tim of Abilene, Texas and Gilbert of Comanche, Texas; 19 Great - Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; a sister Gladys Posey of Comanche, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Selina Wells and 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
