Blanche Mildred (Johnson) Dabney, age 95, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on November 16, 1917, in Sidney, Texas, to Fred Lee and Lillian (White) Johnson. On June 16, 1936, she was united in marriage to John B. Dabney in Blanket, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1998. Blanche was a rancher and for most of her life she lived on Mockingbird Hill Ranch in Brown and Comanche Counties. She was a member of Blanket Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Dabney-Henry of Blanket; grandson, Timothy Henry and wife Teresa of Calixico, California; four great-grandsons: Zane Dabney and wife Sonia of Camp Pendleton California, Austin Nelson Henry of Comanche, Alex Henry of Calixico, and Bryan Henry of Calixico; two great-great-grandchildren: Travis Henry of California and Addison Rose Henry of California; brother, Durwood Johnson of San Jose, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Blanche Dabney; one son, John C. Dabney; two brothers, Neron and Max Johnson; and two sisters, Hazel Kahm and Faye Walker.
