GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Downing Cemetery. Bob Sledge, age 93, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1924, in Comanche County, to Wes and Annie (Scott) Sledge. In June, 1947, he was united in marriage to Jean Westman in El Paso. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2015. For many years Bob worked as a pipeliner. He is survived by two sons, Scott Sledge and wife Neva of Comanche, and Guy Sledge and wife Christian of Abilene; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gene Sledge of Midland.
