Bonnie Ruth Decker, age 84, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, in Abilene, Texas. She was born on December 13, 1928, in Albany, Texas, to Adam Oscar Brush and Lela Ann (Morgan) Brush. Bonnie married James Harold “Buddy” Decker on September 16, 1947 in Odessa, Texas. Mr. Decker preceded her in death on April 11, 2007. Bonnie was a homemaker but worked many years of her life in the floral business. She was a member of Board Baptist Church. She is survived by her children: Wendell Decker and wife Becky of Slaton, Texas; Gail Jay and husband Gary of Abilene, Texas; Darla Taylor and husband Tim of Comanche, Texas. Grandchildren: Trent Swearengin and wife Bonki of Eastland, Texas; Delena Caspell and husband Andy of Abilene, Texas; Ashleigh Jones and husband, Travis of Coppell, Texas; Layci Padget and husband Philip of Stephenville, Texas; and Justin Taylor of Comanche, Texas. Great-Grandchildren Shaelee and Maddox Caspell; Tara and Tatum Swearengin; Austin Jones; Mason Padget; and Pace Padget, expected in August. She has several in-laws: Larry Jim Womack of De Leon, Texas; Thomas and Evelyn Decker of Dennis, Texas; Roger and Patsy Turney of Mobile, Ala., as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James Harold “Buddy” Decker, brother Oscar James Brush and sister La Joyce Womack and her parents Adam Oscar and Lela Ann Brush. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Burial in Hanson Cemetery, Comanche County, Texas.
