FUNERAL SERVICES:  10:00 A.M. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL:  3:30 P.M. on Monday, March 26, at Placid Cemetery in McCulloch County. VISITATION:  6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 25, 2018. LUNCH:   Family will have lunch at New Life Pentecostal Youth Center at 12:00 Noon on Monday.
Cenith “Novella” Cowan, age 83, passed away at her residence, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Fredericksburg, Texas.  She was born on March 5, 1935, in Callahan County, Texas, to Roy Townsend Andrews and Vertie Lois (Hancock) Andrews.  In 1952 she married William Jackson Brasuell.  He preceded her in death on December 23, 1961.  On September 9, 1966, she married Preston Lee Cowan in Friona.  He preceded her in death on February 14, 2002.  Novella worked hard all of her life.  She was employed at the peanut mill in Comanche and in 1962 she went to work as a nurse’s aide at Comanche Hospital.  In 1977/78, she attended LVN school in Brady.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  Novella was a member of Calvary Pentecost in Fredericksburg.  She also attended New Life Pentecostal Church in Comanche. She is survived by her daughter, Cenith L. Lane of Kaufman; special daughter, Sandrea Wilson of San Antonio son, Preston Scott Cowan and wife Katherine of Fredericksburg; stepson, Waylon Dee Cowan and wife Connie; of Fredericksburg; daughter-in-law, Donna Cowan of Rio Vista, California; twelve grandchildren: twenty-one great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; special cousin, LaVerne Woods of Comanche; sisters, Ailene Kennedy of Comanche and Vickie Andrews of Comanche; brother, Dewey Franklin Andrews of Point; sister-in-law, Genitha Andrews; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Audie Jackson Brasuell; stepson, Gaylon Lee Cowan; grandson, Gaylon Dee Cowan; great-grandson, Ledger Liam Lane-Drinning; Great-great-grandson, Austin Ray Schomberg; and brothers,  Roy Andrews, Jr., and Ray Andrews.
