Charlene Carpenter

Charlene Carpenter, age 83, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on July 30, 1929, in Comanche, Texas, to George L. Stewart and Dolly (Williford) Stewart. Charlene married Jim Carpenter on June 15, 1947. Charlene was a member of First Baptist Church of Comanche. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper for Eiland Fagan and for Higginbotham Brothers Office She is survived by her Husband, Jim Carpenter of Comanche, Texas; Son, David Carpenter and wife Mary of Waco, Texas; Daughters: Gale Easley and Husband Gary of Comanche, Texas and Kaye Williams and Husband Charles of Comanche, Texas; Grandchildren: Jarod Easley, Justin Easley and Wife Kaela, Kristen Williams Cook and Husband Read, J. T. Carpenter and wife Noelle, Kimberly Williams Bodenhamer and Husband Jack, Mary Margaret Carpenter Croft and Husband Caleb and Anne Carpenter; Great-Grandchildren: Nathan Easley, Jenna Easley, Sydney Kate Easley and Penn Cook. She is also survived by Brother Wayne Stewart and Wife Nell of Comanche, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents George L. and Dolly Stewart and 8 Siblings. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 10, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Comanche. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Comanche Wellness Center, 108 West Oak, Comanche, Texas 76442. Lunch for the family will be at First Baptist Church following services.
