Charles Horton

Charles "Charlie" Lee Horton passed away, April 08, 2025, at home, at the age of 56 years old, in comfort surrounded by his loved ones, all his pain & suffering is gone.

Charlie was born on May 28th 1968 in Comanche Tx. to Dorothy & Alvin Horton.

Charlie was a diesel mechanic for 30 plus years, he also specialized in air conditioning, his trucker friends nicknamed him, "Mr. Freeze", he was one of the best at it. He knew so much about so many things, fixing trucks, history & espically classic country music & when he had a story to tell, he would talk your ear off! He enjoyed working on old pickups & cars he loved Halloween, scary movies, video games & all kinds of music, but most of he loved playing his guitar, it was his pride & joy.

Charlie was a down to earth, simple, kind & loving man who will be missed & remembered by everyone that knew him.

He is Survived by his mother, Dorothy Patterson of Gustine,Tx; wife, Paula Horton of Gustine, Tx; 3 bonus kids, Kevin Lewis & partner Destiny of Midland, Tx, Megan Drake of Odessa Tx, Scott Lewis & wife Bobbie Jo of Midland, Tx; brothers, Gary Don Horton of Granbury, Tx, Tony & wife Kathy Patterson of Comanche, Tx, Ronny & wife Mary of Clifton, Tx, Gary Patterson & wife Linda of Boerne, Tx; sisters, Lesa Jeffrey & husband Mike of Comanche, Tx; grandsons, Carter & Paxton Drake of Odessa, Tx, Austin Lewis of Midland, Tx; and grandaughter, Kylee Lewis of Midland, Tx.

He was preceded in death by his step father, Marvin Patterson of Comanche, Tx; father, Alvin Horton of Comanche, Tx; grandfather, Gloyd Horton of Comanche, Tx; grandmother, Mae Horton Grandfather Bernard Howerton of Comanche, Tx; grandmother, EulaMae Howerton of Comanche, Tx; and 3 brothers, Terry Patterson, Randy Patterson, Billy Patterson.
