Charles Monroe

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Private memorial service will be held at a later date. Charles R. “Chuck” Monroe, age 77, passed away at his home in Comanche, on Friday, October 20, 2017, with his wife, Pat, and Daughter, Stacie by his side. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on January 2, 1940, to Charles and Monroe Sr., and Rose Monroe. Both parents and his sister, Glenda, preceded him in death. Chuck loved the outdoors, fishing and golf and all things western. He loved coffee cooked over a campfire, and his dogs were his constant companions. Since moving to Comanche from Fort Worth in 1998 he made a multitude of friends that were like family to him, including the staff and patrons of the Dairy Queen. He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter Stacie and husband Rick; sisters, La Donne Kaker and Linda Monroe; brother, Thomas; stepsons, Leigh and Scott; step-daughter, Vicki; and several nieces and nephews.
