MEMORIALS: Comanche Community Healthcare Hospice 108 W. Oak Street Comanche, Texas 76442 or to the Charity of Choice. Charlie served his country in the United States Navy, during World War II on the Star Escort, USS Aulick. He fought in “The Battle for Leyte Gulf,” the last and greatest battle ever fought in navy history. Charlie was one of ninety three crew members that survived when the Navy Ship was hit and damaged by a Kamikzes or suicide plane. He is survived by his niece and husband, Catherine Ann and Bob Guthrie, Briggs, Texas; niece, Carol Finch, Granbury, Texas; and nephew, Bob Crouch, Dublin, Texas. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and countless friends and other relatives. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Lanell ; an infant son, Charles David Price; his dad, Parker Bettis Price; mother, Katie Catherine Evans Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Herbon Wilson; nieces, Jean Crouch and Joyce Sutherland.
