GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11:30 A.M. Monday, February 2, 2015, at Graford Cemetery in Palo Pinto County, Texas. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Clota G. (Light) Burleson, age 95, passed away peacefully from this life with her daughter by her bedside, on January 30, 2015, in Comanche, Texas. She was born on September 28, 1919, in Oran, Palo Pinto County, Texas, to Charlie and Roxie (Hardy) Light. On December 22, 1939, she was united in marriage to Eugene Burleson in Mineral Wells. Clota was a homemaker and mother to their only child, Goldie, born June 12, 1942. She was a member of Pearl Street Church of Christ in Comanche. She is survived by her daughter, Goldie Hunt of Comanche; four grandchildren: Paul Hunt and significant other Donah Stricklin of Proctor Lake, Deborah Cutler and husband Mike of Hasse, Joseph Hunt of Sidney, and James Jensen and wife Hope of Garland; and former son-in-law, Charles Hunt of Sidney. Clota was blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Lorraine Hunt, Christopher Hunt, Jennifer McFarlin, Scotty Cutler, Kyle Hunt, Christian Hunt, Karson Hunt, Louwisa Jensen, Feniece Jensen, and James Jensen, Jr.; and most recently she was presented with two great-great-grandchildren: Kynnedi McFarlin and Holden Cutler. With such a large extended family, Clota will be missed by all who knew and loved her, but rejoice in her being with Her Lord in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene in 1997, and a grandson, Mark Jensen in 1987.
