Coretha Mckee

Coretha Stanley McKee, age 66, of Gustine, Texas, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was born December 9, 1946 to Bert Stanley and Pauline Boyd Stanley. Coretha married Joe McKee, Sr. on September 16, 1966. She was a devoted wife and homemaker, a member of Gustine United Methodist Church and UMW. She enjoyed crocheting, woodworking, spending time with her grandchildren and family, traveling, and camping. She was preceded by her father, mother and one brother. Coretha is survived by her husband, Joe McKee, Sr. of Gustine, Texas.; sons, Joe McKee, Jr. and wife Vicky of Early, Texas and Clinton McKee of Gustine, Texas; five grandchildren, Chivona, Julia, Dennis, David, Mattie, and adopted granddaughter, Paisleigh; two brothers, David Phifer and wife Carolyn of Hasse, Texas and Garrell Stanley and wife Jan of Bastrop, Texas; three sisters, Judy Dolberry of Comanche, Texas, Morene Thornal of Grosbeck, Texas and Lorene Patterson and husband Alvin of Texarkana, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family. Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be graveside, Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Wayne Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Siloam Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas. Comanche Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
