Daniel “Papo” Martinez, 64, of Comanche, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was born on August 8, 1953, in CD Acuna Coahuila, Mexico, to Daniel and Elva Cruz (Cedillo) Martinez. On June 18, 1978, he was united in marriage to Maria Bernal in Mexico. He was a hoof trimmer for Gores in Comanche for 38 ½ years. He also spent five years at MX7 dairy in Comanche, Texas. Daniel was an outstanding father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Maria Martinez of Comanche; three sons, Daniel Martinez of Ennis, Adrian Martinez and wife, Melissa of Comanche, Samuel Martinez of Comanche; daughter, Mayra Martinez of Comanche; four grandchildren, Daniel Lee Martinez, Aryanna Martinez, Christopher Michael Martinez, and Navina Martinez; six brothers, Juan Martinez of Mexico, Cesar Martinez and wife, Tonya of Comanche, Rolando Martinez of Mexico, Jesus Martinez of Mexico, Francisco Martinez of Mexico, Jose Martinez of Orange; six sisters, Dora Martinez of Mexico, Gloria Martinez of Mexico, Margarita Martinez of Ft. Worth, Soledad Rodriguez of Orange, Rosa Martinez of Ft. Worth, Cruz Martinez of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
