FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Sardis Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at Zion Hill Baptist Church following the funeral services. Danny Ray Dodd, Sr., age 75, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012, in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on December 16, 1936, in Comanche County, to L. C. and Gladys (Ellington) Dodd. On June 9, 1962, he was united in marriage to Mae Dell Love in Dallas. Danny served in the United States Army and for thirty-seven years was a self-employed peanut farmer. He was a member of De Leon Assembly Of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Mae Dell Dodd of Comanche; son, Danny Ray Dodd, Jr. and his wife Erika of Brownwood; daughter, Darla Seider and her husband Kent of Bangs; grandchildren: Heather Dodd Fletcher and husband Tyler, Camon Seider, Jonna Dodd, Caghen Seider, Mia Dodd, and Amy Compean; a great-granddaughter, Kennedi Nia Fletcher is expected in August; brothers, Keith Dodd, Sr. and his wife Elizabeth of Comanche, and Kenneth Dodd, Sr. and his wife Carol of Comanche; and sisters-in-law, Jean Dodd of Comanche and Oleta Dodd of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.C. and Gladys Dodd; brothers, L.C. Dodd, Jr., Nolan Dodd, Curtis Dodd, Richard Dodd, and Roland Dodd; and sisters, Rose Dodd, Dorothy Smith, and Charlene Young.
