FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 13, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Board Church Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Comanche Funeral Home. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at Board Church following the funeral services. White , age 88, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital in Stephenville, Texas. He was born on July 13, 1921, in Comanche County, Texas, to Hubert White and Ammie (Rambo) White. Darwin served in the United Sates Army, a veteran of World War II. On April 19, 1947, he was united in marriage to Velma Baty in Waxahachie, Texas. He was employed by Higginbotham Bros. & Company in Comanche until he retired after twenty years of service. He was a member of Board Church and served as a Deacon for many years. He is survived by his wife, Velma White of Stephenville; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Kenny Philips of Stephenville; daughter, Sherry Harvick of Fort worth; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Sid Miller of Stephenville; son Ric White of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren: Jen Bradshaw, Jarrett Bradshaw, Jessica Bradshaw, Scott Harvick, Janet Harvick, Truett Miller, and Joe Miller; four great-grandchildren: Kelly Porter, Jude Bradshaw, Brooke Harvick, and Jonas Darwin Nyhammer; and one sister, Minta Burks of Comanche. He was preceded in death by two brothers, H.F. White and Baby Kenneth White; and sister, Dale White.
