Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284-1125. David Morgan Wilkinson, age 51, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011. He was born on January 18, 1960 in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, to Billie Weldon and Marjorie Lee (Williams) Wilkinson. David attended Beckville High School and earned the nickname “Big Wilk” playing as a tackle for the Beckville Bearcats football team. On July 21, 1978, he married his high school sweetheart, Sandra, and they had three children. He worked for Texas Utilities at Martin Creek Power Plant, and later in the control rooms at gas plants in Colorado City. A resident of Carthage, David was visiting his children in Lubbock when he suffered a major heart attack. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Henderson and had in recent months re-dedicated his life to his Savior Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed by his family and a host of friends. He is survived by two sons, David Brian Wilkinson and wife Katrina Dawn of Ropesville, and Jonathon Wilkinson and wife Olivia of Lubbock; one daughter, Kelli Wilkinson of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Bradley, Destiny, Zachary, and Josephine; sister, Tena Bates and husband David of Clanton, Alabama; brother, Delbert Weldon Wilkinson and wife Linda of Carthage; sister, Patty Rushing and husband Tomy of Hallsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father on November 4, 1968 in Viet Nam and also by his Mother on November 27, 2004 in Beckville, Texas.
