Box 151, Sidney, Texas 76474., or call Rudy Diaz at (325) 330-3372. Dean Holland, age 50, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on June 9, 1969, in Stephenville, Texas, to Alvin Willie and Shirley (Hill) Holland.  On June 16, 1991, he was united in marriage to Christy Cook in Comanche.  Dean was an outstanding husband, father of seven, grandfather of four, and son.  Dean was a member of the Texas Pipe Fitting Union Local 404 out of Lubbock for thirteen years.  He later started his own construction company, which he left to his sons-in-law.  He was an amazing musician and could play the drums, guitar, bass fiddle and piano.  He served on the Board of Sidney ISD, and was involved in the Sidney Community Fund and Sidney FFA.  Dean was a loyal fan of the Sidney Eagles six man football team and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  In is ‘spare’ time he loved working his farm and ranch. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Christy Holland of Sidney; five daughters: Marsha Scott and husband Sheldon of Sidney, Kate Kirkland and husband Keith of Sidney, Chelsea Hair and husband Dalton of Stephenville, Addie Holland of Sidney, and Jonnie Holland of Sidney; two sons: Caden Holland of Sidney and Mason Holland of Sidney; parents, Willie and Shirley Holland of Comanche; niece, Aryn Holland of Comanche; parents-in-law, J.C. and Katie Cook of Sidney; and four grandchildren: Charlie Scott, Frankie Scott, Grady Kirkland, and Jackson Hair.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Holland.
