Deborah Harrington

Deborah Kay Harrington passed away on Feb. 22, 2025, at the age of 61, in Comanche, Texas, after a courageous battle with liver cancer.

Deborah was born August 13, 1963, at Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas, Texas, to Thomas Farquhar and Kathleen Farquhar. She attended Lampasas schools all 12 years, graduating with the class of 1981. On August 7, 1982, Deborah married the love of her life, Joe Harrington at the First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, Texas. Joe and Deborah resided in Comanche, Texas for 42 years.

Deborah spent the majority of her career in the banking industry. She started her career with Comanche National Bank in 1997 and was proud to end her career with Farmers and Merchants Bank in 2024.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Farquhar and Kathleen Self Farquhar; sister, Karen Sue Farquhar; grandparents, Monroe and Mordie Self and Thomas and Lena Farquhar; aunt and uncle, Vonceil and Evan Lamb; uncles, Billy Ray Self and Jerry Morris; and father-in-law, Andrew Harrington.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Joe Harrington of Comanche; sister, Shirley Abney and husband, John, of Round Rock; brother, Mark Farquhar and wife, Shawna, of Lampasas; uncle, Evon Self and wife, Donnis, of Lampasas; aunt, Pat Morris of Naples; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Harrington of McCamey; brother-in-law, Merlin Harrington and wife, Lindy, of Rochelle; sister-in-law, Deborah Hall and husband, Jim, of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Velinda Bolen and husband, Kyle, of McCamey; dear friends, Megan Harbour and husband, Jason, DeeDee Martin and husband, Camon, Tami Martin and husband, Gary; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday March 1st, 2025, at the Comanche Funeral Home.

Private interment of ashes will be held at a later date at Bee House Cemetery in Coryell County.
