Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Spillman passed away on Sunday, August 1st, 2021 at the age of 64 in De Leon, Texas.
Dennis was born to Walter and Alvern Maxine (Priest) Spillman on March 18th, 1957 in Abilene, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army throughout his adult life until retiring to be a college professor. Soldier, teacher, and avid outdoorsman, Dennis was devoted to his family and shared with them his love for God, country, and the fruits of the land tended by a John Deere tractor.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Jeanes of De Leon; children: Thomas Spillman, Andrea Rasco, Abram Spillman, Sarah Kurnava, Jonathan Spillman, Dennis Christopher Spillman, and Joseph Spillman; twenty-one grandchildren; and his mother, Maxine “Nanny” Spillman. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Walter Spillman.
