Donald Jones

Donald Alan Jones, age 76, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, in Comanche County, Texas. He was born on August 19, 1940, in Gorman, Texas, to Horace A. and Alice (Matthews) Jones. He was a veteran of the United States Army. On September 16, 1967, he was united in marriage to Arlene Heinrich in Grand Prairie, Texas. In 1997 Alan retired from American Airlines, where he worked on the ground crew for thirty-seven years. For forty years he owned and operated Alan Jones Auctioneer and was a member of the Texas Auctioneer Association. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Jones of Sidney, Texas; sons, Donald Alan Jones, Jr. and wife Renee of Arlington, and Brian Adam Jones of Grand Prairie; granddaughter, Jessica Jones of Arlington; and brother, Rodger Jones of Dublin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Newhouse.
