LUNCH: 12:00 Noon on Saturday at Board Church MEMORIALS: Baggett Creek Cemetery, c/o Pauline Moore, 301 FM 591, Dublin, Texas 76446 Donald William Moore, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Western Hills Healthcare Residence in Comanche. He was born on November 18, 1923, in Gustine, Texas to Wallace and Floy (Moore) Odell. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. On August 31, 1947, Donald was united in marriage to Pauline Harper in Gustine. He was a self-employed rancher and farmer who received a soil conservation award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Board Church and served as church treasurer, song leader and Sunday school teacher. He also played guitar at the Gustine Homecoming Rodeo as well as school and community functions. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Moore of Gustine; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Pettit of Gustine; granddaughters, Melissa Gilbert and husband, Perry, of Burleson, Kelli Knox of Aledo, and Belinda Lee and husband, John, of Burleson; great-grandson, William Cameron Gilbert of Burleson; great-granddaughters, Raygen Lee of Burleson and Madison Gilbert of Burleson; great-grandson, Kenneth Colby Knox of Aledo; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Smith of Longview; uncle, Guy Eltrice Moore of Gustine; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Bill O’Dell, and grandson-in-law, Kenneth Charles Knox.
