FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at East Side Baptist Church in Comanche. BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday night from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at East Side Baptist Church following the funeral services. MEMORIALS: American Cancer Society, 804 W. Wrights Avenue, Comanche, Texas 76442. Donnie Campbell, age 69, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on Tuesday, June 27, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas, to John Weldon and Edna Naomi (Jones) Campbell. On December 26, 1965, he was united in marriage to Carol Ann Large in Fort Worth. For 35 years he worked for PMS Consolidated in Fort Worth, and after moving back to Comanche he worked as custodian for Comanche Independent School District for ten years. Donnie was a man who never met a stranger and never forgot a name or a face, and will be remembered by his friends and acquaintances as a man with a constant smile. He was a member of Hope Masonic Lodge #481 in Comanche and a member of East Side Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years Carol Campbell of Comanche; two sisters, Penny Hamilton and husband Larry of Comanche, and Elayne Johnson of Henderson; sister-in-law, Glenda Campbell of Kilgore; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Craig Allen Campbell, on November 27, 2001; parents, J.W. and Naomi Campbell; and one brother, John Campbell, on July 20, 2011.
