FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 5, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Board Church Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Doris Williams, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, November 02, 2011, in Comanche, Texas. She was born in Comanche on June 28, 1927, to Lawrence Eugene and Ada Lavonia (Northcutt) Westmoreland. She graduated from Gustine High School and on May 3, 1947 she was united in marriage to Joy Lee Williams in Turnersville, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1984. She worked for Higginbotham Bros. & Co. and retired after forty-three years. She worked for the Justice of the Peace for Comanche County for about five years and for fifteen years she was the night clerk for Comanche Funeral Home, where she was beloved by her co-workers and many friends. Doris loved flowers and always enjoyed working in her yard. She was a great people person and also loved animals of all kinds, especially her calico cat, Callie. She was a member of Board Baptist Church. She is survived by her niece La Nell Williams and husband, Junior of Comanche; great-niece Carma Adcock of Comanche; great-niece Tina Ross and husband, Glenn of Austin; great-nephew James Adcock of Gustine; great-niece Karen Morris and husband, David of New Braunsfel; twelve great-great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Ada Westmoreland; brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Ruth Westmoreland; niece, Bonnie Otwell; and great-great-nephew, Glynn Adcock.
