Dorothy Abbey

Dorothy Abbey, 82, passed away on December 10, 2023, in Abilene, Texas. She was united in marriage to Billy Doyle Abbey on September 22, 1961. Dorothy was a proud and very active member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church who would spend many days helping during Bible School. Dorothy spent most of her career working at Durhams Pecan Co. and Western Hills Healthcare Residence as a CNA in Comanche, Texas.

Dorothy is survived by Randy Abbey & Heather; Grandchildren Dean & Courtney Abbey, Steven & Jennifer Abbey, Jeffrey & Kendall Abbey, Westin Abbey & Savannah; Great grandchildren Stella, Sawyer, Stetson, & Isabella Abbey; sister Glenda Nichols; & brother Jerry Lindley.

Dorothy is preceded in death by husband Billy Doyle Abbey; parents Henry Harrison Lindley & Opal (Seale) Lindley; brother Henry LaDean (Tic) Lindley; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to the Comanche Santa Helpers or Zion Hill Church.
