Oak Street Comanche, TX 76442 She was a beautician at La Dora Carter’s Beauty Shop in Comanche for 11 years prior to owning and managing Dorothy Elliott’s Beauty Shop for 52 years. She retired at the age of 80. Dorothy married Weldon Rochelle Elliott in Comanche, Texas on July 14, 1949. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2008 She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Bloyd and husband Cris, of Comanche; Billy Jo Medina and husband Thomas of Comanche; and Janna Duncan and husband Rob of Comanche; nine grandchildren: Angelyn, Samantha, Fawn, James, Crystal, Levi, Elliott, Jenna and Lauren; seven great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Joe Gore, Comanche, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Thomas McMinn of Comanche, Texas; and brother-in-law, Donald Elliott, Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Willie E. (Jenkins) Cotney and by one son-in-law, John Phillips
