Douglas Hillhouse was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Gustine and served as a deacon for many years. Douglas married LaWanna Couch in Gustine, Texas on July 27, 1953. He is survived by: LaWanna Hillhouse, Wife, Gustine, Texas; Steve Hillhouse, Son, Frisco, Texas; Debby Hillhouse, Daughter-in-law, Frisco, Texas; Deann Jones, Daughter, Lamkin, Texas; Gaylon Jones, Son-in-Law, Lamkin, Texas; Terry and Kisha Hillhouse Grandson and Wife, Marshall, Texas; Michael Jones, Grandson, Lamkin, Texas; Wesley Jones, Grandson, Lamkin, Texas; Stephanie and Brad Welch Granddaughter and husband McKinney, Texas; Hannah Welch, Great-Granddaughter, McKinney, Texas; Alyson Welch, Great-Granddaughter, McKinney, Texas; He was preceded in death by his parents, Earg and Donnie Hillhouse; and brothers, Harold Gene Hillhouse and Charles “Nick” Hillhouse.
