VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Dovie McKinzie, age 94, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010, at her home in Comanche, Texas. She was born on August 17, 1916, in Junction, Texas, to Ben and Ollie (Stapp) Jones. In 1935 she was united in marriage to John McKinzie in Comanche. He preceded her in death in July, 1990. Dovie was a homemaker and a member of East Side Baptist Church in Comanche. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Wavel and Z.T. Jennings of Comanche, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Loice Barnes, Guida Ratliff, and Delma Adams; and one brother, Buddy Jones.
