Earlene Ethington, born on December 27, 1959, in Brownfield, Texas to Don and Bonnie Ethington spent her formative years in Dimmitt, Texas before settling in Odessa, where she met and married her beloved husband, Ed, sharing 43 years of cherished memories together. Earlene’s pursuit of knowledge led her to earn her associate degree in computer science, a foundation she utilized throughout her career. Initially, she flourished in the financial sector, contributing her skills to an accounting firm in Odessa for seven years before transitioning to a corporate role with Cash America in Fort Worth.
However, her professional journey truly blossomed when she joined IBM, where she dedicated 23 years as an IT specialist, leaving an indelible mark on the company and forging lasting friendships with colleagues. Upon retiring, Earlene embraced entrepreneurship, becoming a successful self-employed government contractor, where her expertise continued to shine.
Earlene’s most cherished role was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. While her professional journey was marked by remarkable achievements, her heart truly belonged to her family.
