Eddie Kimmel

August 16, 1949 — July 15, 2018

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Indian Creek Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 5:30 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. LUNCH:  Lunch for the family will be at their residence following the funeral services.  Late Saturday night, July 14th, our sweet, sweet daddy & Kathy’s beloved husband, Eddie Kimmel, suddenly went to be with our Lord & Savior.  He was the most loving husband & dad anyone could’ve ever dreamed of & will be deeply, deeply missed.  It was completely unexpected & right now we are all just trying to remind ourselves to even breathe.  There are simply just not enough words to describe how much his family loved him and the love he showed for us.   Eddie was a long time boot maker of 38 years and known for his warm smile and generous heart.  He and wife Kathy have a wide spread family of friends in the leather industry which are scattered across the country that they love and appreciate.  Eddie loved his grandchildren dearly and spent countless joy filled hours with them curled up in his lap making them laugh.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Kimmel; his children, Justin & wife Tricia Kimmel of Coleman, Texas and Jodie and husband Heath Tucker of Comanche, Texas; four grandchildren, Bailey, Will, Austin & Kate; one sister, Suzie Harrison and husband Don of Gustine, and one sister-in-law, Sue Kimmel of Canton as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John T. and Emma Kimmel; one sister, Jean Vickrey; and two brothers, Forrest and Johnny Kimmel.
