Evelyn Wysong

Evelyn Burgess Wysong, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in Comanche County, Texas.  She was born on February 21, 1934, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to Julian L. Burgess and Jorsey L. (Williams) Burgess.  On April 23, 1952, she was united in marriage to Raymond Earl Wysong.  Evelyn was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time outdoors gathering pecans in the fall and tending to her flowers, especially her roses. Evelyn lived in the community since 1953 and was a Baptist. She is survived by nine sons: Duane and wife Aleycia Wysong of Comanche, Darrell and wife Mona Wysong of Morgan Mill, Donald Wysong of Blanket, Michael Wysong of Tennessee, Kenneth Wysong of West Virginia, Raymond Wysong, Jr. of Stephenville, Bobby and wife Sarah Wysong Nickerson of Plano, Joey and wife Briggetta Dolberry of Brownwood, Jerry Lawson of Stephenville; two daughters: Kay Shelton of Proctor and Tina Wysong of Hasse; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wysong; two sons: Royce Alvin Wysong and Marvin Lee Wysong; and one daughter, Melinda Gail Wysong.
