Forrest Cottrell

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, June 1, 2015, at Eastland Cemetery with Brother Curtis Evans officiating. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Sunday night from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Forrest Clifton Cottrell, age 71, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche, Texas. He was born on February 15, 1944, in Gorman, Texas, to Orel T and Katie R. (Phillips) Cottrell.  On October 13, 1979, he was united in marriage to Nelda Brown in Comanche, Texas. Forrest worked for Justin Boot Company of Forth Worth for many years as a truck driver and was also a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  He was a member of the Lake Worth United Pentecostal Church. He was known for his generosity and wonderful sense of humor.           He is survived by two sisters, Judy Moe and husband Ron of Comanche, and Becky Robinson of Austin; three nephews, Phillip Hemsley of Azle, Nicholas Robinson of Austin, Brent Cottrell and wife Kristen of Rhome; a niece, Marshalla Robinson of Austin; three great nieces; two great nephews; and extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda and his  parents, Orel T. and Katie Cottrell .
