Francisca Amaro Banda, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, in Hamilton, Texas. She was born on September 17, 1934, in Gonzales, Texas, to Pedro Amaro and Natividad (Sanchez) Amaro. On October 24, 1954, she was united in marriage to Leon Banda in Crosbyton, Texas. Francisca was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a homemaker and she was a faithful Catholic. She is survived by her husband Leon Banda of Hamilton; four sons, Jose Banda and wife Suzanne of Hamilton, David Banda of Hamilton, Leo Banda and wife Kim of Hamilton, and Carlos Ramirez of Hamilton; five daughters, Amelia Garcia and husband Eutimio of Comanche, Yolanda Banda and husband Tony Lopez of Fort Worth, Lydia Massingill of Hamilton, Melissa Ramirez of Hawaii, and Priscilla Fikes and husband Russell of Hamilton; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; brother, Augustine Amaro of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Jose Amaro, Alex Amaro, Lido Amaro, and Chuey Amaro.
