FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Evergreen Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday night at the funeral home. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at the First Baptist Church of Gustine following the funeral services. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evergreen Cemetery Association, c/o Ken Huey, 100 Franks Street, Gustine, Texas 76455. Freddie E. Couch, age 85, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013, in Temple, Texas. He was born on August 21, 1927, in Gustine, Texas, to Paul T. and Alice Alma (McDonald) Couch. He served in the United States Navy from 1945 until 1947. Fred was united in marriage to Betty Sue Thornton of Hamilton. She preceded him in death. For many years he was foreman for Chase Bag Company. He is survived by his son, Randy Couch and girlfriend Marie of Gustine; daughters, Linda Chapman of Fate, and Mary Brickell of McKinney; five grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Cullen Couch and wife Joyce of Zephyr; and sister, LaWanna Hillhouse of Gustine. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack “Sonny” Couch, John Couch and Paul T. Couch; and two sisters, Clarice Matthews and Gin Cates.
