Garry Winston Godfrey, age 75, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on February 27, 1942, in Gorman, Texas, to Cyril W. and Ruby Dean (Wilson) Godfrey. On January 26, 1963, he was united in marriage to Maida Auvenshine in Comanche. Garry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a kind, gentle man, and worked hard all his life. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for Upper Leon Water District until he retired. Garry was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife OF 54 YEARS, Maida Godfrey; daughter, Lahrea Frugé and husband Michael; son, Sheridan Godfrey and wife Tammy; daughter, Lynette Godfrey; daughter Alissa Westmoreland; grandchildren; Blaire Cox, Justin Cox, Kaitlin Godfrey, and Nolan Godfrey; great-grandsonS, Logan Fair AND Max Kapule; and brothers, Jack Godfrey and Gayle Godfrey.
