FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 8:30 A.M. until service time. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at Comanche Garden Center following the funeral services. Gary Lewis Smith, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at his home in Comanche. He was born on October 8, 1943 in Gorman, Texas, to Cecil and Vada Lee (Buckmaster) Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved music and was a talented singer and guitarist. Gary was a retired mail Carrier He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Kevin Petty of Comanche; son and daughter-in-law, Baron and Jill Smith of Garland; granddaughters, Laurie Smith and Angela Parker; brother and sister-in-law, Doyle and Mackie Smith of Comanche; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelli Parker; and brother, Stanley Smith
