GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. VISITATION: Family will meet with friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. LUNCH: Family will have lunch at the home of Brenda and Ricky Diaz at 12:00 Noon on Sunday. Genetha George, age 93, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018, in Comanche County, Texas. She was born on March 23, 1924, in Comanche, to G. R. and Minnie (Williams) Ripley. On January 13, 1941, she was united in marriage to W. R. “Josh” George in Comanche. He preceded her in death in December, 1979. Genetha was devoted to her family, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons: Johnny George and wife Susan of Proctor, and Tommy George and wife Reba of Stephenville; two daughters, Brenda Diaz and husband Ricky of Comanche; Joyce Dunn and husband Charles of Lubbock, ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard George.
