George Allen

George Allen, age 69, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at his home in Comanche, Texas.   He was born on May 28, 1949, in Amarillo, Texas, to O.D. and Sarah (Alvey) Allen.  He was a Computer Programmer and a Baptist Minister. George married Jimmy Blair in Brownwood on December 11, 2016.    He is survived by his spouse, Jimmy Blair Allen of Comanche; four children: Sarah Shipman of Idaho; John Shipman and wife Cynthia of Japan; Jershah Oosterhoff and husband Shackie of Florida; Gabby Shipman of Comanche; two stepchildren: Jamie Blair of Oklahoma and Jennifer Wilson of Oklahoma; twenty-two grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Blair and his parents, O.D. and Sarah (Alvey) Allen.
